We are working with our South Midlands Authority client to source and supply an Interim Project Management Surveyor.
The successful Commercially aware and qualified Surveyor will have a crucial role in supporting the setting up of an Estates Management Function within the clients organisation. Working collaboratively with the Authority’s Asset Management Team, the Managing Director, Head of Finance and other surveyors the post holder will work on reviewing the Authoritys property data, leases and systems and support in the migration to a new Property Management System. During the appointment the post holder will also support in reviewing assets, setting service charges, dealing with historic transactions and managing tenant issues.
The post holder will use their commercial acumen, skills and experience of working in property management to manage the tenants efficiently and sensitively to deliver the income required to the Group to meets is financial targets.
Delivery & Management:
You will take on the day to day management of mixed property portfolio’s including:
Review data and systems pertaining to the asset management of the leased portfolio
Support migration to and setting up of a new estate management system
Identifying key lease liabilities and reporting on issues arising
Checking current and setting new service charge arrangements
Undertaking rent reviews and lease renewals.
Dealing with the onboarding of new assets into the portfolio.
Supporting the new system to collect rents and other monies due, including chasing of arrears.
Liaison with the Facilities Management team to ensure all compliance checks are complete and logging these.
Managing and organising improvement, repair and maintenance work for properties, including liaising with tenants and contractors, arranging access, and checking that works are completed.
Use and assist with the maintenance of records on the new property management and accounting system.
