We are working with a respected Public Sector body in order to source an HR Adviser. The role would be on a temp to perm basis with the temporary hourly rate based on the advertised annual salary - pro rata.
The purpose of your role To provide a high quality and effective full resourcing service to managers, including providing advice and support on job descriptions, sourcing methods, assessment and on-boarding. In addition provide support on HR activities as and when required.
Establish and maintain effective networks and relationships with hiring managers and other stakeholders in order to deliver a recruitment service which meets their needs.
Develop, deliver and project manage effective end to end resourcing campaigns advising managers on advertising, sourcing options, methods of attraction, writing adverts, job descriptions and specifications.
Advise and deliver assessment processes, including assisting with designing assessment centres, developing in-house tests, sitting on interview panels (when required), ensuring good candidate care and advising on interview questions.
Liaise with/manage recruitment agencies including negotiating preferential rates
Work with areas where there are particular recruitment difficulties developing and implementing creative solutions.
To contribute to the development ofthe clients employer brand and the marketing of the organisation as an employer of choice
Maintain the application tracking system and look at ways to continuously improve our processes
Manage the on-boarding process for all new starters
Assist with the development of policies/procedures and reports on recruitment related topics
Analyse and produce meaningful resourcing data (both internal and external to inform future campaigns
In addition to recruitment, will contribute to the wider HR agenda. This includes, but not limited to, payroll, HR advice, assisting with ER cases as appropriate and any other HR duties as directed by the HR Manager.
Experience of providing advice and support on the design and delivery of assessment centres for a wide range of jobs.
Experience of providing high quality advice to managers on recruitment issues including writing job descriptions, advertising/sourcing options and recruitment processes
Experience of using Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word and Excel)
A working knowledge of HR Systems
Ability to provide innovative solutions to problems
Experience of working with senior managers and other staff who have a varying level of understanding of HR processes
Experience of working in a HR team and providing advice on HR matters General skills/Attributes
Excellent oral communication skills, with the ability to persuade and influence
Able to build and maintain effective relationships with stake holders/customers
Good written communication skills with the ability to contribute to reports and develop policies/procedures on a range of recruitment related topics
