We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable Business Analyst to work on an interim basis with our Public Sector client. The successful candidate will be working on one key aspect of the Customer Services & Business Support Improvement Programme, focusing on service improvements across their Waste Management Service. The successful business analyst will be working in conjunction with the service area to drive real transformation and structure, coordinate and manage the delivery of the programme, implementing improved outcomes, practice and efficiencies. The person appointed will be responsible for providing function expertise on the waste services garage, fleet and stores activity; identifying and evaluating options for improving business processes & systems, defining requirements and ensuring effective use of information systems in meeting the needs of the stores activity. As a talented Business Analyst, you will be accountable for mapping the delivery, user stories, business requirements document and supporting analysis deliverables. You will lead investigation work to aid business strategy, understand business situations, conduct feasibility studies, elicit business requirements, and identify & evaluate options for improvements. Improvements may be to business processes and systems, IT systems, information management practices, business procedures or organisation models. Good leadership skills and a track record of ability to influence business and IT colleagues is key, as is the desire to continue your own development, constantly striving to improve techniques and methods employed. Technically, the successful applicant will have significant experience and knowledge of project development processes & agile methodologies and be skilled in multiple information gathering approaches (such as interviews, shadowing, workshops, etc.) and information modelling tools (such as process Mmdels, use cases, entity relationship diagrams, etc.).
