Breast Cancer Haven

Breast Cancer Haven charity exists to improve the quality of life for people affected by breast cancer by providing personalised emotional, practical and physical support. Havens are day centres offering free programmes of personalised support to anyone affected by breast cancer.

Five Havens operate throughout the country with a sixth opening in the West Midlands in Solihull in the autumn of 2017. Breast Cancer Haven has received £2.5m from the Department of Health to establish the Solihull Haven and the new fundraising team faces the exciting challenge of securing sustainable income streams for the lifetime of the centre.

The Role

Reporting to the West Midlands Fundraising Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing the Corporate Fundraising programme. You will continue to develop existing relationships and will build new relationships with local organisations/individuals, raising the Charity’s profile and maximising corporate income through a range of fundraising activities.

You will be home based until September 2017 when the new Solihull Haven is due to open.  Regular travel across the West Midlands will be required and travel to other Havens may be required from time to time.

The Person We Seek

You will need at least two years’ experience in either a fundraising or sales environment. You will have experience of working with corporate fundraisers as well as working in a busy supporter environment.

You will be dynamic, creative and a team player, being part of a high performing and cohesive fundraising team led by the West Midlands Fundraising Manager.

We are seeking enthusiastic and creative individuals who can bring a particular focus to their role in the team. Members of the team will need to work at a fast pace and be able to prioritise their own work load.
