Our client is seeking an Overpayment Officer on an interim/temporary basis to be responsible for the efficient collection of all Income Debt. To deal with all cases and enquiries for Council Tax & Business Rates from post bailiff stage and to deal with Sundry Income and Housing Benefit overpayments from Final notice stage. To take a positive approach to developing a customer focused approach to the collection of Income Debt. Applicants will be expected to possess:-
1 Good phone manner / customer service 2.Desirable to have experience in debt management 3.Good knowledge of excel - as the successful applicant will be doing spreadsheets and will need to sort / update these 4.Methodical approach 5.Analytical skills
It is essential that applicants MUST have worked in local government before [minimum of 6 months] revenue and benefits.
